Hello, I am the owner of Bywater & Woodhouse.

My name is Antoinette Smith and Bywater & Woodhouse are my family names. I’m proud to belong to a talented family of makers, hobbyists, artists and musicians and thought it was fitting to honour that lineage in my brand.

I am a UK based designer with a background in architectural interiors and graphics. I live in an area that is rich in architectural heritage and natural beauty which is where I draw my inspiration from.

I distil and abstract forms onto paper before manipulating these images into motifs and patterns digitally. I’m drawn to pattern and texture, which is all around us if we stop long enough to look. Wherever I go you'll find me filling up my phone with pictures.
